Training for Personal Assistants
As a personal assistant, knowledge and safety are the foundation of your professional development and the well-being of the user.
You carry out important work every day in the user’s home. A key factor for achieving good results and having fulfilling work is possessing the appropriate knowledge and confidence in your role. With us, you receive comprehensive training that strengthens your role as a personal assistant.
The scope and content of the training largely depend on the user’s specific situation and needs. We offer internal online training for all personal assistants, as well as specialized training tailored to the individual needs of each user.
Our training courses
Basic Training – Personal Assistance
This course is mandatory for all newly employed personal assistants. The aim of the training is to provide basic knowledge of the role of the personal assistant, the relevant legal framework, work practices, and standard procedures.
The training is conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the National Board for Health and Social Care, which define the required knowledge and skills for personal assistants.
Advanced Training for Personal Assistants
This course is mandatory for all employed personal assistants. Its purpose is to provide a deeper understanding of the legal framework, assessments and decisions, as well as social documentation.
Personal assistants will acquire advanced knowledge of IBIC (Individual Needs at the Center) and different approaches to work and support.
Training for Supervisors
This course is mandatory for all supervisors who work with personal assistants. Its purpose is to provide supervisors with knowledge for effective team management, understanding routines and administrative processes related to Personal Assistance, labor legislation, and workplace practices.
First Aid
All employees working as personal assistants must have valid first aid training. The training is valid for two years. If you already hold valid first aid training obtained with another employer, there is no need to attend this course again.
Fire Protection Training
Fire safety training is mandatory for all employees. As part of this course, participants will gain knowledge of fire safety, proper use of fire extinguishers, and safe evacuation of the user in the event of a fire.
Customized Training
To ensure that personal assistants acquire the appropriate knowledge and confidence in their work, we offer training tailored to the individual needs of each user. For example, these trainings can deepen understanding of the user’s disability and their specific requirements.
