The assistance coordinator takes on all employer responsibilities.
This includes everything from recruiting assistants and managing salaries, taxes, and fees to providing a safe and secure working environment for the assistants. They also handle reporting to the Social Insurance Agency and the Tax Agency.
Personal Assistants is affiliated with an employers’ organization, through which we gain knowledge and support to stay informed about labor law. They also negotiate the collective agreements our employees have and ensure clarity regarding their employment conditions.
Once a person has made their decision, the assistance user can choose to manage their own assistance or hire a municipality or private assistance provider to handle the intervention. At Personal Assistants, we are one of the private assistance providers in the country, and we also provide assistance on behalf of municipalities at several locations.
If a user chooses not to hire a personal assistant themselves, we work together to plan the start of the service.
We write contracts, recruit, and develop an implementation plan for how the interventions will be provided. Assistance can often begin within just two weeks, but it depends on the decisions and wishes of the assistance user.
For many years, Personal Assistants has offered digital training courses for our assistants, which we develop and regularly update. When assistants are new to the job, they start with basic training to learn everything they need to work as a personal assistant. We also provide advanced training courses and client-specific training. Our regional managers also invite you to training sessions or workshops on various topics, which are conducted on-site at our offices.
