Training Courses for Personal Assistants
As a personal assistant, knowledge and safety are the foundation for your growth and the well-being of your client.
You are the one doing important work every day in your client’s home. A key factor for good results and a satisfying job is having the right knowledge and confidence. With us, you receive extensive training that strengthens your role as a personal assistant. The amount of training depends largely on your client’s situation. We offer internal online courses for all personal assistants, as well as specific courses tailored to the needs of each client.
Our training courses
Basic Training – Personal Assistance
This course is mandatory for all newly hired personal assistants. It aims to provide basic knowledge about the role of a personal assistant, relevant legislation, workplace practices, and standard procedures. The training follows guidelines from the National Board of Health and Welfare on the skills required for personal assistants.
Advanced Training for Personal Assistants
This course is mandatory for all employed personal assistants. Its goal is to provide a deeper understanding of legislation, assessments and decisions, and social documentation. Personal assistants will gain enhanced knowledge of IBIC (Individual Needs in the Centre) and treatment approaches.
Supervisor Training
This course is mandatory for all supervisors working with personal assistants. It aims to provide supervisors with the knowledge to lead an assistant team effectively, understand routines and administration for personal assistance, labor legislation, and workplace practices.
First Aid
All employees working as personal assistants must have valid first aid training. The training is valid for two years. If you already hold a valid qualification from another employer, you do not need to take this course.
Fire Safety Training
Fire safety training is mandatory for all employees. In this course, you will learn about fire safety, how to extinguish fires using fire extinguishers, and how to evacuate a client in case of fire.
Customized Training Courses
To provide personal assistants with the right knowledge and confidence in their work, we offer training courses tailored to each client’s needs. For example, these courses can expand your knowledge about a client’s disability and specific requirements.
